Joining Poindexter

$5 worth of comp-chips are available to any new players (who are approved). Comp-chips can be used to play and win real money, but the comp-chips must be returned before any player can withdrawal actual cash from their account. There is no penalty for losing the comp-chips. If people are wondering what the incentive is for giving out comp-chips when I make no money on this site (it is completely rake-free and a zero-profit site meant for friends), it is to let people try out the game without having to risk money. I do this because I want as many friends participating as possible. It’s a small price for me to pay to keep the game going.

The Poindexter Poker game is a nano-stakes on-line poker game played among friends (or friends of friends) using the website: http://www.pokernow.club. The great thing about this site is it is free, the interface is simple, no sign-up (except for some tournaments) and it allows video/audio chat to keep the game social and fun (as seen it is not required to turn on video/audio, but it is encouraged to increase the fun.)

Note: This is a tournament so the chips are not cash value.

The game is a non-rake home game (no profit is made running the game), and all money goes to the players. The host/house does not take any money from the game. It also is not open to the public and is a friendly game among acquaintances (or newly invited players). The game is purposefully kept at nano-stakes to allow players to learn new games (Hold’em, Omaha & Omaha Hi/Lo) as well try new styles and strategies at minimum financial risk (pennies.) The game strives for competitive poker at smaller stakes, so while the stakes are low, players do their best to treat it like a higher stakes game (it is much better than “play-money poker”.) (Note: If players are interested in a micro-stakes game with slightly higher stakes, they should check out www.gundampoker.com)

The winnings/losings are tracked (player’s don’t have to enter any data) in a Google Sheet where each player has access to their own buy-in/cash-out transactions via sharing a Google Sheet (see example below for ZZ_Player) that contains only their transactions which only they have access. Thus a Google account is recommended for ease of sharing the sheet (either a gmail e-mail address or an e-mail address connected to a Google account.)

The player’s available balance is easily read at the top ($25.25) along with their tournament placements and all their poker transactions, deposits, withdrawals, buy-ins and cash-outs. The register keeps the most recent data at the top of the sheet for easy access to the latest transactions (without need to scroll-down)

A player can deposit or withdrawal from their account via ApplePay, Zelle, Venmo or PayPal. They can do this at any time.
